(1) Seattle Seahawks (14-4), (11-7) ATS vs. (1) New England Patriots (14-4), (10-8) ATS PICK’EM
For the 1st time ever we have a Pick’em SuperBowl. If you’re looking for some deflate gate conversation it will not be here. In the Championship games Seattle stole a game they should have lost. If you don’t know about it then you’re probably not reading this. As for NE it was a tale of two games while it was close in the first half vs INDY, NE ran away, literally, with the game in the second half. These two teams are very close in talent but I will point out some differences worth mentioning. At the QB position you have two very talented guys who have been here before but the experience notch goes to Tom Brady who you know he wants this more than anything. The last time he won the SuperBowl, Wilson was in high school. At the RB position I will give the nod to Marshawn Lynch even though the depth there is suspect where as in NE you have Blount, Vereen & Gray. All three are capable of picking up where the other leaves off. With SEA it’s Lynch or bust. NE DEF has to be ready for Lynch as he gets better as the game wears on. At WRs, NE definitely has the edge. Besides Jevon Kearse can you name any other SEA WR? Brady has too many weapons here and the Legion of Boom will be busy but they don’t usually rush the passer. Last week vs GB they let a one legged Rodgers scramble and run for a couple of first downs. If Brady has time he will kill you. How healthy are Sherman & Maxwell? The SEA DEF has to cover Gronk, Edelman, Lafell, Amendola, Bouldin, etc. We’ll see how they matchup but on the otherside, there’s Revis, Browner & McCourtney ready to cover. NE DEF has to make sure that Wilson isn’t able to run when he wants. This might be an X-factor that NE can’t afford to overlook. All in all this should be a great game but in the end I think the PATS will win by more than a TD. Brady will get his fourth title.
THE PICK: NE PICK’EM 5 STARS
SEE YOU NEXT SEASON!
